Sockerslottet was originally built as a church by the Baptist congregation in Kristinehamn and was completed in 1892. Since 2011, the building has undergone extensive renovation and reconstruction into today’s Sockerslottet (meaning Sugar Castle). It is owned and operated by spouses Jan and Gunilla Wall. Gunilla’s activities as a cake artist and chocolate bonbon manufacturer were what gave the building its new name.<\/p>\n
