Seated Christmas dinner
We have picked our favorites from the classic Swedish Christmas buffet and serve them directly at your table. The meal begins with a tiered platter filled with delicacies like pickled herring, cured salmon and cold cuts from Hygns Vilt, such as Christmas ham, smoked venison, Medwurst sausage, rolled pork, and game pâté. Once you’ve enjoyed the platter and are ready for the main course, we serve Jansson’s temptation (a creamy potato and anchovy casserole), meatballs, Christmas sausages and spare ribs. To finish the meal, you’ll enjoy a dessert assortment with a variety of sweet treats
The menu is fixed and cannot be altered, but it can be served gluten-free. If you have any questions about ingredients or allergens for yourself or anyone in your party, please contact us before booking.

Afternoon tea
On selected weekends throughout the year we host our much appreciated Afternoon Tea in Sockerslottet. An excellent opportunity to devour our baking and the ambience of the building.
We serve a set menu that includes: sandwiches/canapés, scones with marmalades and curd, an assortment of small sweet pastries and chocolate bon-bons and a selection of teas from Dammann Frères.

Price: 425 SEK/person
Royal Afternoon Tea: 595 SEK/person (including a glass of Champagne)
Choose your preferred time: 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, or 2:30 PM. Each sitting lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Book online here or call us at +46 550-10550. We accommodate groups of 1–8 people. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
You can also order Afternoon Tea for takeaway with our elegant take-away option, packed in a box that transforms into a three-tiered cake stand.
Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made later than this, it is possible to pick up your Afternoon Tea as takeaway instead.
Christmas café in Sockerslottet 14/12
On December 14th, there will be a Christmas market in Kristinehamn. You can find our chocolate at the market in the city park, but we’ll also have our chocolate and gift shop open at Sockerslottet, offering a larger selection. To celebrate the occasion, we’re also hosting a Christmas café with sandwiches and select pastries, so take the opportunity to visit us and enjoy a fika in the former church hall. We’re open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Vi riggar för julmarknad på Alsters Herrgård. Egentligen skulle jag suttit och handmodellerat marsipangrisar men det visade sig att platsen inte fungerade och jag fick krympa min plats till hälften. Så tyvärr blir det ingen tillverkning på plats, men vi kommer att ha färdiga grisar till försäljning. Och våra handgjorda chokladpraliner förstås.
